The landscape, I love to spend time in it. My favourite companions are my phone, a camera and a means to write. I was brought up on the flat lands of Holderness. Now many years later, I sense how informative this time was in the way I respond to being out in the landscape, whatever the weather. Under a great sky and with endless views, the sense of wellbeing I feel is beyond price. I love mountains, but my home and heart will be forever connected to flatlands, big skies and wide open horizons.
